Does Complexion really matter?

Well!! This question arises since the time a child is born. A lot of comments starts coming from the so called relatives, family members based on the child’s color. Why?? My question is this. How the color of a person really matters. Why people are really obsessed with having a fair skin. I have been listening this complexion issues since I myself was a child. I too don’t have a fair complexion and my brother was really very fair. Never understood this concept. So thought, let me discuss with my readers.

We live in a society where people say a lot about those who have dark complexion instead of knowing how the person is by heart. How much they are qualified, how rich they may be, but the society judges them or I must say give importance to the color complexion. That’s really bad and is not acceptable.

Then why we look at the film industry which is totally on make ups and in lime light all the time. Have anyone seen their actually complexions?? We just say we really love the actors. Many people have been taught since their childhood that dark is bad and fair is good. Marry the one who is fair and not the dark one. These things really hurt now also. A person who has a good soul is good irrespective of the complexion. Why don’t we start accepting the people the way they are? We should really love them the way they are.

“We want to be treated equally and not judged off by our skin color.”

It really doesn’t matter what type of Complexion you have – fair, dark, whitish. The main point is that – try to be a good soul, try to be a person everyone will look upon. Just being fair doesn’t mean, you are a good human being.  We don’t choose any friend based on the color complexion. If anything actually happens with anyone of you, that means they are not your friend. There may be cases, where the family also doesn’t love you just because of the complexion.

People who have dark complexion at times feel neglected by the society they live in. Trust me; the people with dark complexion have the best soul as they have already seen all the negative side of the world and they are being recognized as the diamond taken out of the coal mine. No doubt, at some point of time, everyone with the dark complexion must have felt bad as the society treats them differently. How educated we all become, but we do have a set of people who think that dark complexion people are not good. So, if you are dark and aren’t enjoying your complexion, better start enjoying and love yourself the most.

“Don’t tell anyone, that they look pretty for a dark skinned. Dark Skin is not a badge of shame, but rather a glorious masterpiece, created by God himself.”

So , all the people with little or more dark complexion :-

  • 1. Stop the light skin vs dark skin beef, we all are black . Your skin tone doesn’t define you.
  • 2. Don’t depend upon anyone to tell you that you are beautiful, you define your own beauty.
  • 3. Stop finding ways to separate yourself from one another
  • 4. You don’t have to be mixed to be beautiful.

"Dear Dark skinned people out there, the sun loved you so much that it took its time and kissed you slowly and gently all over, worshipping every inch of your body  & then made love to you. You all are truly sun kissed.” So, even if people around you hate you for having dark complexion, just love yourself. They must be having dark souls. Enjoy for being what you are and you are being blessed always.
