In Today’s Era people have forgotten the values of Family . Family Values and its importance should not be overlooked. We have been taught by our parents to respect everyone in the society whosoever it may be. Family values establishes the foundation for our family and when this foundation is strong, we can fight with opposite beliefs. Feeding the values since Childhood helps the kid develop a sense of respect towards Elders.
But when today we see the world around us , there are children who are being rude to their parents on small things. Unfortunately, the time has changed and we are seeing the most disheartening stages of life, where children starts shouting at their parents, not listening to them. Young people are more impatient and want to live their life according to their own standards. They do not want parents to interfere in their decisions .
Since decades every family demands when a child is born that should be a son not a daughter . But when we look at circumstances where parents need children to take care – Especially Son , they are not around. they are busy in their own lives. Then why do parents pray for a child son ? When this will end? I being a Daughter always wished to take care of my parents , tried to help them in whatever possible way I can. But still I can never take the place of a Son. That’s a harsh fact and people do not accept this fact . The theory of a Daughter and Son should actually change. Parents should start accepting the fact whoever would take care of them – whether a Son or a Daughter will be given equal place.
Family values teaches us to build a Strong relationship within the family. If the values inherent are strong, it is usually a “Happy Ending “. But if somehow the values are weak the family gets scattered and we end up living our lives alone. So , from the childhood , we as a parents should teach our children the values , importance of Family. How a family together will make everyone happy. Though we should give space in every relationship we make, should respect each and every one whether elder or older . This will make us united and Happy
The first and foremost important part being a Parent is Be a Role Model for your Children. Behave in a way, you want your kids should behave. If you disrespect your parents, or do not behave properly with them how would you expect that your kids would be nice to you. More often, you should interact with parents, grandparents , neighbours in the society in a very polite and friendly manner. You should set the example for everyone in the society . Explaining the value of elders will give your child real motivation to be kind . For me, My Role Model is my Father whom I have always looked upon.
Now the next point which is important is your child should know that there are no exceptions to being polite to elders. Even if they meet kids which are of their age and they get rude to older people, they should ask them to be polite and do not misbehave. In a similar way, explain to your child that they should show respect even if an elder isn’t being very polite.
